SALEM, N.H. –In only 19 seconds Chris Foster (Middletown, CT) knocked Taylor Trahan out cold, and in the process nailed down the Combat Zone Knockout of the Year for 2014.

After a disappointing loss to current UFC fighter Rob Font, Foster was looking to get back to his winning ways against up and coming pro Trahan in the main event of CZ 51 in November.

After about 10 seconds of dancing dancing around the cage from the opening bell, Trahan threw a right uppercut that missed wildly. Foster countered quickly with a straight right that stunned Trahan, then followed with a jab and another straight right hand that both landed cleanly underneath his opponent’s right eye. Referee John English realized that Trahan was unresponsive and stopped the fight to give Foster the devastating knockout.

The shortest fight at CZ events in 2014, Foster improved to 8-3 with his performance while Trahan dropped to 5-2. Foster’s knockout recorded a vast majority of the votes with an 80% lead on Chad Kelly’s knockout of Kenny Murphy that finished second.
